What is speed dating?

Speed Dating is the modern way to new people and discover chemistry! It’s a great way to find that “special” someone, all the while enjoying the hunt. At this event, you will socialize with a number of guests all there for the same reason: to have fun, date and meet some new people!

Does someone host the events?

Most definitely! All our events are hosted professionally by awesome, smart and dedicated Dashing Date hosts that will guide you every step of the way and be there for anything you may need for the entire duration of the event

Where are the events held?

The venues we pick are usually well known restaurants and bars in and around the city, or hidden gems we find during our hunt. Our venues are home to Dashing Date. It’s where we welcome our guests and host our events. Each space is selected with care and the utmost in comfort, quality and ambiance.

What age groups are your events for?

You will be able to find events for ages ranging from approx 25-50. Each event is categorized for a specific age group.


Is it free to become a member of Dashing Date?

Becoming a member is absolutely free! Once a member, you can browse through events and buy tickets to the one’s that interest you.

What is the screening process?

Our screening takes place at the time you register with Dashing Date as a member. You are asked to upload a photo and answer a few questions that help us get to know you better. Please Click Here to learn more about why screening is important.

Why do I have to upload a photo, who sees it?

Registering with your photo is an important part of our screening process and only the team at Dashing Date can see the photo.

Is my photo and other information I register with Dashing Date secure?

Yes of course. Your information is kept for our team’s eyes only for in no way shape or form will your info or photos be used, shared, modified or redistributed. Your file will be kept safe and private for as long as you are a member with us.



How many people will I meet at a speed dating event?

A standard event entertains 14-24 guests in total, so you will meet 7-12 people of the opposite sex.

What is the dress code for the events?

Speed Dating is as date night as it gets, so it’s important to look your best. Chic, Smart, and Elegant sums it up. The dress code can vary for specially themed events. You will be notified about dress-code in the Details & Confirmation email the night before your event.

Are there an even amount of men and women?

We try are best in aiming for an even number of men and women. It is possible the ratio is slightly unbalanced.

What are the age groups?

The age groups are clearly indicated in the description of the event. It is important you fall within the specified age range in order to attend that event. If you happen to be slightly out of specified age range and still want to attend, please contact us first.

How long does each date last?

6-8 minutes

How do I know if I match with someone?

At the start of an event, each guest is given a “Dash Card”, in which you record the names of each person you meet and indicate your level of interest. Any two people who “like” each other is considered a match.

How and when will I be notified of my matches?

By email within 24 hours following an event.


How to I buy a ticket to an event?

Tickets to our events can be purchased on Eventbrite™, a safe secure and reputable site.

How much does it cost to attend a Dashing Date Speed Dating event?

About $50, sometimes less and sometimes more depending on the type of event.

Is anything included in the ticket price?

This information will clearly be stated in the event description. Generally one drink and/or hors d’oeuvres are included in a standard speed dating event.

Can I sign up with a friend?

Of course! As long as you are both approved members of Dashing Date, you can take advantage of our Dashing Duo Deal offered on most speed dating events.


Do I have to pay upfront?

Yes. In order to confirm your spot at an event as well as to help us keep the ratio of men to women as even as possible, tickets be purchased in advance.

What is your cancelation policy? Do you offer refunds?

Unfortunately we do not offer refunds. In order to be eligible for a credit to a future event, you must give us 72 hours notice prior to the event you were registered for. These terms may vary for specially themed events and we advise you email us to verify the cancelation policy prior to purchasing your ticket.

What methods of payment do you accept?

The simplest way to register & pay for an event is to purchase your ticket on Eventbrite™ by credit card. Or, we can schedule a call and take payment over the phone. Other methods include PayPal and Interac Email Money Transfer.

Is Eventbrite™ a safe and secure site?

Can I change the answers after I have handed in my Dash Card?

Try your best to be sure of your answers before handing over the card to our team. If you need to make a change, make sure to contact us as soon as possible, matches are usually sent within 24 hours.

Can I keep a copy of my Dash card?

Dash Cards must be handed in at the end of the event, but there is an area where you can take notes which you can tear off and take home with you. You can also take a photo of your Dash Card before handing it in.
